PVD is a good station for US and US is a very strong #2 at PVD for passengers carried. That flight (8:15am to CLT) was a 757 this past February, so it must be a good performer.
PVD is still mainline ramp for US and I can tell you there are many agents that have been at Airways for decades. No idea if it was a newbee or a senior agent, but unfortunate either way. At least no injuries.
I'm not sure DL ramp has ever been in PVD. There has been what seems like one-hundred-and-one contract companies that have handled below wing in PVD. ATS, Ogden, Aramark, etc., etc.
Since September 2007, PVD has been without scheduled DL mainline (mainline employees above wing stayed though).
