JCBA Negotiations and updates for AA AMTS

All the company sees is money. It is time for all union members to start following the job cards to the letter,no more trying to help the management to make their ETR's . Work safe and when a tool is required by the job card or maintenance manual then make sure they have it for you. Tell your...

Ok, enough about the line and Tulsa. TWU is the ones who screwed you both. I have been with this IAM disaster. I want to know why not one article was not TA'D the last negotiations. I really feel once we gave the green light to work on each other's metal has allowed the company to drag their...

We have been treated badly for years. Below the wing and above the wing. The reason is not so much the company does not recognize us. It is that we have had substandard representation.

I think our NC is dragging their feet. By the time we get our new contract the company will be going broke. The stock is continuously dropping. They threw a bone at them, so we can work on each other's metal. Now what more bs from this so called association. I've been here 26 years and it is...

I think aircraft mechanics should be making between 55-65 an hour especially one with 35 years in the industry!!! Remember Delta's wages are where they are because the unions. Every time the unions get a decent increase Delta increases there wages to keep the unions out.

UPS and FEDEX fly boxes and we fly souls. That is the big difference! Aircraft maintenance is the same. My son works in the refrigeration industry and makes more than most aircraft mechanics. If the freezer section shuts down they throw the food away. If the aircraft is not properly maintained...

Union representative came in and told us talks were moving but slow. Questions were asked about our 4% or signing bonus. We were told that a signing bonus could be discussed. He did not say if the 4% has been discussed.

While looking at my lump sum payment from the company I calculated I am paying a 38% in taxes. I'm not sure why I normally pay 25% in taxes why they are treating this like some sort of bonus. These are wages from August 5th to November 12. They say they are the differences of my base pay now and...

The union would tell us that we need the other work groups to make us stronger! Really! I did not study and work for 35 years in this industry to have non amt's determine my pay! If everyone thinks it easy doing our jobs as technicians then go to school and join our brotherhood!

I could not agree more! Amt's should be making well into the upper 50's. Pilots have to know how to fly one type of aircraft. Technicians must know how to work on the companies entire fleet. The public looks at us like we are some knuckle dragging, shade tree mechanics. They do not realize A&P's...

AGC comes to work last night to try and explain lump sum formula and realize that he can't. Inspectors went from 25% to who knows what percentage. Another Harry Houdini trick!

JCBA Negotiations and updates for AA AMTS

We gave up a huge bargaining chip with the ok to work on each other's metal. I'm not saying the future raise is bad. Not to sound greedy but I would still like to see the 4% the rest of the employees received. I found a letter which gave the pilot group the 4% while they were in negotiations. I...
