Pilots have pay protection language in their CBA because if the planes don't take off, they wouldn't get paid. I believe they pay protection is for 73 hours a month, they were offered 55 hours (you state) We, FCS and AMT, get paid whether a particular flight takes off or not. The Early Out...

In 2001, airlines were already in trouble yet they didn't file or restructure until two to four years later. We're a week into this.
