On cold nights at ORD, we'd leave ground equipment running rather than risking it not starting again. That's SOP in winter.

PTO, your posts from waaaay back say that you absolutely hate the unions and that you personally wanted to see them broken. I don't know why you carry such hate for them. I can only guess that somewhere along the way either a union, or someone with a union wronged you. I don't understand why...

That was my question. If he's heard they'd be "drafted", that wouldn't happen either. The only people ever "drafted" to do struck work would be that own department's management. I'm sure NWA took all the MX Management it could when the strike started.

How is this supposed to work? The IAM would not let its members do struck work (i.e. the rampers doing maintenance). NWA certainly doesn't want to have to pay MX wages for ramp work either. Something's amiss here, but then again, it's rumor.
