US Pilots Labor Discussion 6/10- STAY ON TOPIC AND OBSERVE THE RULES

After reading the majority opinion of the 9th, it is my opinion that winning a DFR claim against USAPA after a ratified contract is in place will be extrememly difficult because of the 'wide range of reasonableness' that a court must consider. Also, definite and quantifiable damages must have...

American Needs US Air Merger: Analyst

American will need to wash itself through bk court prior to any mergers. Watch out AA employees, your pensions are at risk! Don't count on any M/A activity at LCC for at least 3-5 years.

US Pilots Labor Discussion 6/10- STAY ON TOPIC AND OBSERVE THE RULES

Yes, LCC tried it, and it was a resounding failure - mainly due to the airport facilities. Nobody from management told FLL ATC that there would be 5x the flying and they were unprepared. No one told customs of the huge influx that would occur from the carribean out and backs, so they were...

US Pilots Labor Discussion 6/2- STAY ON TOPIC AND OBSERVE THE RULES

I would posit that a contract that was ratified my the majority of the union membership would be considered fair in the eyes of any third party overseer. Otherwise, it would fail and would not be ratified. Cheers.

Went over to the army of leonidas web page to check out what is being said there......and it's not there. Guys, I don't know if I'd contribute to an organization that can't keep the website up. USAPA rocks.

    East recalls

Looks like the co. is covering the flying by increasing the monthly caps and giving tdy to intl crews. Also, with the reserves having no monthly limits besides FAR limits, I don't think they'll recall.

The Cranky Flier compliments US planeside scanning

Kudos for tracking the bags. Great idea. Glad Fedex thought of it... Now, if they could just port that information over to CLP for the Weight & Balance closeout, things could run even smoother. I asked the baggage guys a few weeks ago if the count was automatically sent to the computer. Answer...

    US Pilots labor thread 5/3-

Whoa, big feller. LOA93 has been on the books now for some time......I thought we were discussing the kirby. LOA93 was the brainchild of that nefarious organization called ALPA, and was foisted on the east with a .357 aimed at our collective temples. ALPA doesn't allow the common folk to vote...

so the solution is to take the kirby, and give up scope, min fleet, etc. for 3%? Get real.

    US Pilots labor thread 5/3-

It was 'just a proposal', and an 'initial' one at that. Who in their right mind takes the first thing slapped down on the table (unless there is a gun to your head)? Dude...Negotiating 101. Need to review. Anyway, the rank and file don't vote on proposals, only a tentative agreement - one that...

    What's Next for US?

I just think it is a hoot that the ultimate end result of deregulation will be oligopoly. Cheers.

Ahem. Which side did not support parity pay? Also, the company has given the WEST 24% of the east flying. The east only performs 4% of the WEST flying. You do the math. Talk about logical responses..... Cheers.

You hit the nail on the head. Been there, done that. $$ come, then they are taken away with a stroke of a pen. Pecking order is the most important issue, always has been. I believe USAPA has addressed the longetivity pay scale concept by saying that because this employee group is heavily...
