This gets into another hobby of mine, vexilology (the study of flags). That is not "the" flag. It is a stylized representation of the USA flag. It is not disrespectful, but just plain lame. Wolf's US Airways flag was lame also. 

Well, as a Delta supporter also, I can say nothing more than this. Oversized logos suck and so does Delta's. To me, the pre-1997 classic livery will always be THE one for me.

And in matching suits no less!

Nope. Lake Central went Allegheny's way in 1968. Though both NC and LC and AL had Convair 580s. There was I believe talk at one point though between NC and LC. They did overlap some territory as well.

I think they tried very hard quite a few years ago to analyze down to things like the width of a slice of pie served aboard....and yet maintain their quality of service. They were trying to get ahead of the cost cutting curve.
