Hypothetical question.
If you were furloughed in '05 and were now to put in a xfr request and it was granted before OEI would you get your pay seniority back ?
When the East class II stations were furloughed in '05 we were given 4 year recall rights with the stipulation that if you were an inactive employee for more than 60 days you would lose your seniority based pay rate. In other words you could get called back but after 60 days only at the starting...
I hope the new direction remembers the cities that were slaughtered in 05. If you get rid of the 60 day rule it must be retroactive. If not, you are not worth a crap as a union. Can you imagine ALPA saying "out of sight out of mind" to their furloughes.

I don't read these boards too much anymore as I've lost hope of ever getting my pay seniority back. I see that 141.org reports that the talks at the end of the month might bring closure to negotiations. Any info out there as to the accuracy of that statement and is there any hope in hell they'll...
As one of the easties that got sacrificed in 05, I would like to share some of my experiences in finding a new job:
1- The grass is not always greener on the other side.
2- Getting a bachelors degree at 45 is not as important as your professional accomplishments.
3- The Vendor side of the...
Hey, thanks for remembering us that got _ucked in 05. And for all of you crying about not being able to go from $17 to $19 an hour you should try $13 with 100% more responsibility and no benefits.
I have no reliable sources, but I ran into a displaced class II brother that's in CLT. He was told that there is a ready made new T/A that will come out after 9/5 when the results are official. Again just a rumor, but if true I hope it includes those sacrificed in 05.

The 141 website is starting to come up with a question and answer forum. Please bombard the _astards with intelligent questions. The bit of research I've done on the 60 day rule is starting to indicate that the folks furloughed in 2005 are screwed. If that's the case how can the IAM pass itself...
Employees currently on involuntary furlough for 60 days or more shall forfeit all pay date
seniority except that an employee who is recalled to the station from which he was
furloughed will be placed in the pay scale consistent with their pay date seniority at date of
furlough. In addition, if...
Robbed, you need to clarify your posting. I'm with Wings the 2005 outsourced stations are gone forever, but if the 60 day clause is deleted how can it not apply to recall rights.
I would also like to second some of Wings postings on life after U. Since May 2005, I've had 3 jobs ranging from...
Congrats to the agents that got sacrificed during the 2005 outsourcing. I would hope that the elimination of the 60 day rule applies to us. Personally I'm not ready to fill a transfer form but it sure makes for a hell of a plan B in case present employment tanks
Guys, let's cut to the chase
If the change of control arbitration is to be heard Sep 13-14 shouldn't this mean that there is a good chance of a last hour tentative agreement around this time.
