I find this to be shocking. A simple broken arm can wind up into $5,000 worth of doctors bills. Is this really accurate? Is there any precedence in this industry for no health benefits? There must be something missing from my understanding....

There must be some kind of insurance since accidents like this are going to happen whether it be tripping on carpet or turbulence or (heaven forbid) accident, etc. I'd be surprised if the FA kept her job, though. I know she feels horrible, I'd be a basket case. I hope she's doing fine. :(

I've been flying to SWF regularly on $800 tickets. The airport is just so close to work and SO convenient that it's been approved even though it's expensive. With a Saturday night stay, the cost goes down to $300-$400. I have noticed that every Dash-8 is about 80-90% full that I've seen. Yet...

Yes Military Circle is a mall that locals don't go to much. They've tried to rennovate the mall and do various things to improve it's image but there is still violence there about once a year and it's got a bad reputation. I do go there occasionally I just don't know how well I'd SLEEP there...

Sheraton Waterfront is an excellent suggestion. Stay away from Military Circle, there are shootings there at least once a year. In fact, there was a drug bust and shootout there not two weeks ago. Recent Shootout
