B6 Pulling Out Of LGB-SLC in June

Perhaps they want to add FLL, SEA, DEN and other cities in the future. And increase frequencies on existing LGB routes. Regards

Thank you for your reply Cosmos. I understand that sources are needed as one can say absolutely anything. But, if I showed the sources of everything I've said, my post would be twice as long and we would get nowhere. :) Get where I'm coming from? Anyways, that's all behind us now. funguy2...

What is jetBlue''s strategy at IAD?

While this doesn't exactly mean much. I heard from a Frontier employee that JetBlue is talking about adding 4 flights from DEN sometime this year. They currently use 1 of Frontier's gates which is why Frontier knows every move JetBlue is thinking about from DEN. :) JetBlue wants it's own gate...

BOI was inherited from Morris, and if growth rates of the 1990's are continued, by 2010 BOI will be at 631,000, just behind COS at 637,000. The growth rates of the 1990's will not continue at the same rate. Sustained rapid growth for more than a decade is extremely rare nowadays. BOI's growth...

Cosmo, Before I go on, do you think I am lying? Do you think I just made up that COS is #4 on the list? Is that how you treat others on the board? It really doesn't matter WHERE I found this information out. This is a forum, the point of this forum is to share messages and accept the...

Also, I read a few months ago that about only 25% of Colorado Springs residents use COS for there air travel needs. The remaining 75% drive 1 hour up to DEN. So who uses COS? 25% of COS residents and outsiders who's destination is Colorado Springs (even most outsiders use DEN still). So you...

mturpiz, I'm not talking about DEN, I'm talking about COS. And yes, Delta is dropping mainline service to DEN along with several other cities such as AUS and SAT. They are shifting resources to ATL and CVG.

Not that it really matters but Delta is adding a 3rd flight from DFW. I guess they're overestimating the market. They should know better....... Not to mention America West bringing back mainline service....

For what it's worth, however, if COS is #4 on this "list" (that people talk about, yet nobody ever really has posted anywhere) and WN isn't planning on adding any new cities this year, then when does COS look forward to this new service? If it was such a goldmine, wouldn't WN want to move in...

Just to be specific about your reference, that figure represents flights not passengers at COS. Yes, those figures represent passengers. However, passenger traffic did increase as well, but I am not sure of the percentage. I'll look around and see if I can find out and post them here...

Another thing CartPusher, the reason why Denver was able to attract so many carriers lately is because Denver Airport offers incentives for new airlines. They bribe them. They give them free advertising for a while. They give them great discounts on operating and landing fees. COS has never...

The general public doesn't care who gets to COS first. When they start looking at fares and are looking at a market that, say, Southwest and Air Tran both compete in, they won't care who came to COS first. They will look for the lowest fares first, then the most convenient schedule. That...

I wouldn't count Stockton as it is close to San Francisco and Southwest serves all 3 Bay Area airports. Bakersfield is not served by many airlines at the moment either. Southwest not serving it is not a huge surprise. The reason why COS is so significant is because it would fill in a big gap...

They been trying to get LUV in there for years. 150 cities have been trying to get LUV for years. That doesn't mean anything. Right now, COS is #4 on Southwest's list of future cities. They WILL be coming to COS, they've clearly mentioned that. But Southwest has other things in mind before...

US Airways' Reagan Washington National-San Francisco Proposal is Best Choice for DOT Exemption Slots

Let me remind everyone that Frontier is currently evaluating the possibility of converting some options to A320s. Hint hint, there is a very good chance you'll see A320s in Frontier colors by 2004. They'd be used on Frontier's high density West Coast and East Coast routes. Regards

Good chance Frontier will get DCA slot

Cart Pusher, Actually if it where my choice on which airline should get the slot. I would give it to United for the LAX service. They would be able to provide a service that no other carrier in DCA could. Connections to the Pacific. Frontier already has a flight to DCA and can already provide...

Good chance Frontier will get DCA slot

There was an article in the Denver Post yesterday about how Frontier applied for the DCA slot that National had. Looks like the favor is on Frontier from what I''m feeling. There are many supporters favoring Frontier getting the slot including several politicians. It makes sense actually...

This is why pax are not flying!

KCFlyer, You don't go through the Rockies to get to Phoenix, unless you want to do it the long way. The quick way is going down south to New Mexico, then go west to Arizona. I've done it before. Can easily be done in 2 days with a stop in Albuquerque. Regards

Boyd's Perspective On a UAL Bankruptcy

[BR]Actually DEN would be the least affected hub if UA files for Chapter 11.[BR][BR]The reason should be pretty obvious too. DEN hardly has any competition compared to IAD, ORD, and SFO. United has nearly 60% of the marketshare in DEN right now.[BR][BR]Also, UA has actually slowly been growing...
