the a/c that crashed in benin in africa was previously operated by american airlines . reg N863AA. it was regeisterd 3X-GDO to uta of africa. sad ending to a once proud airliner. 🙁

N862AA spent 25 years flying for AA--delivered in '77, went to storage at Mojave in '02.
No, this one was in storage in the desert until UTA took delivery of it. The aircraft still had the Blue ,White, Blue stripes on the fuselage when it met it's untimely death. 🙁
