With all the positve feedback (yes on this site) I have gotten for some of my Retro Scheme Photo's and with the Piedmont Livery Dedication tommorow in CLT I thought a few of you might enjoy this Piedmont in 2006 shot, perhaps I will see some of you tommorow in CLT !

Nice shot LGA777! You do nice work. I'm glad they finally got the paint right. The Allegheny retro looks good also, except they forgot that ALLEGHENY was red and therefore, they should have painted US AIRWAYS red on the AL 319 also.

Indeed. I have the pleasure of knowing "LGA777" and he certainly is a 'living legend' in the world of airliner photography.

I will be on the ramp taking photos. Good looking guy with a great camera. Say hello, if ya see me. Enjoy the day.

I wonder if the company ever thought of doing the Piedmont Heritage aircraft on the 767 instead of the 319? Now that would have been sweet!!!

LD3, the Heritage schemes where done on 319's so that the most stations would see them. While no doubt the 767 would have looked better, they spend most of their time either over the Atlantic or in Europe, not that many employees and former customers of those carriers would see them !

It would have been nice to have that paint job placed on a Boeing Aircraft!!!!

Yeah, I agree. I thought it would have been more appropriate to put the desperately needed paint on one of the 767's. After all, it was Piedmont that brought wide-body flying to the table (at least for the east operation.)
