Anyone know the story on flight #177 on NOV 15th? A coworker was non-reving and me left a message about a galley fire and landing in IND. I looked up the flight and it did divert to IND at 18:00 last night.

From IND newspaper:

Minor fire forces emergency landing at Indianapolis International Airport

November 16, 2003

A U.S. Airways flight was forced to make an emergency landing Saturday at Indianapolis International Airport after the flight crew reported a fire in the forward galley, authorities said.

No one was hurt, said airport spokesman Dennis Rosebrough.

The fire was contained to an oven and was extinguished before the plane landed about 6:15 p.m., Rosebrough said. The plane, U.S. Airways Flight 177, left Philadelphia at 3:53 p.m. en route to Phoenix.

The flight took off from Indianapolis at 8:07 p.m. to resume the trip to Phoenix.
