This email is going around and I know a few people, including non AAers who have gotten it. Whatever you do, don't answer it.

Dear AA Credit Union Client,

This is your official notification from AA Credit Union that the service(s) listed below
will be deactivated and deleted if not renewed immediately. Previous notifications have
been sent to the Billing Contact assigned to this account. As the Primary Contact, you
must renew the service(s) listed below or it will be deactivated and deleted.

Renew Now your AA Credit Union Bill Pay and Services.

If you are not enrolled at Web Banking, please enter your SSN as Account #, and account number as Password.

SERVICE : AA Credit Union with Bill Pay.
EXPIRATION: January 26, 2006

American Airlines Federal Credit Union (AA Credit Union) recently experienced an Email fraud attempt known as "phishing.â€￾ The false Email appears to have been sent from the Credit Union and asks the recipient to click on a link, which then directs the user to a site that looks like the new AA Credit Union Web site, and asks them to provide their Account Number and Password.

Please note: AA Credit Union will never send an Email to our members asking them to provide personal information. Anyone who receives an Email that purports to be from AA Credit Union and asks for account information should consider it to be a fraudulent attempt to obtain personal account information that might be used for illegal purposes. If you receive this type of Email, you should not click on any links or follow any instructions contained within that Email.

If you responded to such an Email and provided any confidential account information, please notify AA Credit Union immediately by calling our Member Contact Center at (800) 533-0035.

Several steps can be taken to protect your personal information:

Be cautious of any Email that includes requests for personal information or passwords.
Do not click any links within an unsolicted Email to get to a Web page.
Always be sure you are on a secure Web site when submitting any personal information. To make sure the Web site you are using is secure check the address (URL) in the address bar. If the site is secure it will begin with https:// rather than http: .
If you received this EMail or any other type of fraudulent messages that appear to have come from AA Credit Union, please forward the entire message, with its original header information intact to: [email protected].
Together with the appropriate authorities, we are working diligently to shut down these fraudulent Web sites.
