LESS PAY FOR MORE JOBS?

SOUNDS LIKE THE SAME ARGUEMENT THAT THE...

...NATIONAL RIGHT TO WORK COMMITTEE MAKES!

HOW MUCH IS THE TWU SPENDING IN DUES MONEY TO OVERTURN THAT ISSUE IN OKLAHOMA?

AA has 16000 mechanics per you, 3300 out per you = 20% on furlough

NW had 7700 mechanics in Dec, 2200 furloughed not including ATL mechanics who did not move = at least 28% on furlough

----------------
And AMFA at NWA has a pending grievance over the force majeure issue because the reduction percentage outpaced the fleet reductions.

What does TWU at AA have pending for their members?

Answer:

Following the reduction of the above number of employees, the parties agreed to modify the dates of system protection for the remaining employees to the dates indicated below. In addition, the date may be adjusted either backward or forward at the conclusion of the applicable reductions and must be agreed to by both parties.

Title Groups New System Protection Date

Title I and Title III September 24, 1998

_____________________________________________________________________

Tell us wise one, will that new System Protection Date be moved either backward or forward with or without a vote of the members?

Also, after AA gets done with that 3400+ reduction, do the TWA-LLC Mechanics now have "job securtiy"? Or are they to be dispensed with also, while you kneel to the Bus Alter?

NOt that it matters that much, facts being what they are, but while SWA mechanics are represented by AMFA, they are working under a contract that was negotiated by the Teamsters.

Attention RV4

If you are so unhappy with the TWu, then why dont you start an information drive to try and get the AMFA as your Union. If they are as good as you say than I am sure it would not be a challenge to overthrow the TWU. I wish you luck.

Too bad that Dave hitched his wagon to the wrong airline.

I hope he at least has been buying stock in WN all along - I sure have.

AA''s mechanics have gone from being really highly paid to just highly paid - no wonder they''re mad.

Wonder why there''s no comparison to USAir''s mechanics or UAL''s mechanics on the comparison chart?? Could it be that those guys took it harder up the aft than the poor TWU at AA??

What price do you place on the overhaul of the aircraft you are flying in to assist it in maintaining altitude?

----------------

I dont put any price on it. I think you make an honest living at that wage. And if i was unhappy i would try to get on with an Airline that pays more.

You're a damn LIAR, I never asked you to prove anything about percentages.

You are making crap up as we go along. Are you a pathological liar, or do you just tell a little fib every now and then?
