UPDATE

On February 19, the US Airways MEC sent a resolution to senior
management at the Company requesting a copy of the Company's
complete business plan, a proposal on what concessions the
Company would be asking for from the flight attendants, and an
outline of how management is going to participate in cuts to
help restore the Company to profitability.

Since that request nearly one month ago, here is an update:

1)We still don't have a detailed business plan;
2)We still haven't received any proposal from the Company;
3)We still haven't been told how management intends to
participate in cuts to restore the Company to profitability.

We have learned of the merit raises given to certain employees
at the
Company and we have been reminded that our CEO will get 4.5
million dollars if he walks away.

I do not doubt that our Company is facing some very serious
challenges in the coming months. My fear is that we do not have
a management team that has the ability to lead us out of the
canyon we are falling into. The management team at this Company
has done nothing in the nearly one year since we emerged from
bankruptcy to convince the employees that they know what they
are doing. They look at labor agreements as nothing more than a
piece of paper and they show no respect to the employees who
work under those agreements.

VOLUNTARY FURLOUGH EXTENSIONS

Six hundred and seven flight attendants extended their voluntary
furloughs and two hundred fifty are scheduled to return in June.
We have not received any information from the Company regarding
another voluntary furlough as one may not be needed if the
Company were to determine that no furloughs will be needed in
June. We will update you as new information becomes available.

MIDATLANTIC

Twenty-nine flight attendants completed training for MidAtlantic
last week. Another class is scheduled to complete training on
March 20th. Proving runs are being conducted today for the
EMB-170 aircraft. AFA would like to welcome back those flight
attendants returning to fly for MidAtlantic.

The Hotline will be updated as soon as information becomes
available.

Im not sure of the time line , but i would assume management will in fact have to release some details to AFA and others. One possiblility ...... Maybe labor wont be enough? It could be a plan C coming soon ! Im not sure how long we have, but its obvious to most, things are changing very fast. With Delta saying it would report a 400 million dollar loss for the march quarter, one can only glance and see this is an industry in dire straits. God forbid we have another terror attack !

I thought on the "HUB" it listed only 250 fa/s were awarded VF extensions....leaving over 500 scheduled back from a VF. I'm confused...someone clarify please.......

Nevermind! I went to the HUB and now it wants you to submit your employee number to see if you were awarded a VF extension.

Odd. Now one week later and the original list of 250 goes missing. This company........loves to keep everyone guessing!!! <_<

USFlboi,

What your missing here is DELTA is not asking their employees for cuts anymore, there rating went down because they fell short of their projected losses by $50 M.

The only airline that is in dire straights is U.

Pitbull. you cant beserious? Delta is in dire straits. Any company who post that kinda of loss "more than once" is in deep trouble. The company is asking for cuts from its pilots, and cant believe it wont from the rest of its staff. My opinion however untill the pilots agree they wont cut across the board. As you know it is a great way to keep the union out by doing just that !

It was a glitch on TheHub last week and the numbers were reversed. 607 extended and 250 are returning from VF.

That's too bad.

I guess a VF 9 will be offered....

Maybe the company will forsee needing more of us for the summer....

I can't even imagine what a VF 9 will do to those 200 f/a's who keep getting yanked around.
