Hi, I am a pilot with United and would like to jumpseat on Air Canada between Toronto - Montreal - Toronto later this month. Since AC and UA have reciprocal jumpseat agreement (but not CASS), along with the captain's OK, I would also need a cabin seat.

Can anyone pls. tell me whether the flights between these two cities usually run very full in the summer (late July)? If so, I may just rent a car or purchase a full fare ticket instead.

Also, with a US air carrier ID, will I be able to go past a Canadian security check point without a boarding pass or do I need to get some kind of departure management card from the Air Canada front counter in order to go beyond security and proceed to the gate?

Any info will be appreciated. Thanks very much in advance.
