Now that jet financing bonds are junk maybe the Q-400 is looking a whole lot better for helping to save the company

At least the mechanics think about something other than their wallets!

They at least indicate that the problem with OUTSOURCING flying to affiliate carriers is jobs.

The pilots talk about how much $$$ they have conceded but never mention the fact that the company has furloughed a larger percentage of pilots than any other airline in the industry.

Aside from a terse suffix to every code-a-phone it seems that ALPA has forgotten that fact.

The MECHANICS realize that 100% of MidAtlantic jobs would go to furloughees. The MECHANICS recognize that allowing the outsourcing of E170s to affiliate carriers prevents furloughees from returning to work.

The pilots are more concerned with a commuter clause or ease-of-access to secured areas then working to provide employment opportunities for their unemployed "brothers".

Sure would be nice to see a press release from ALPA for a change that indicates not only the dollar amount conceded, but the total number of jobs impacted!

see alpa sending it out for vote without a recomendation....i think i heard about that once before with IAM.
dominoe theory.......phase one....stand by for the mother of all rumors in the next few weeks....

Gee, they only make what very very few people make that don't own a business, duh...

Now, is that ok? Sure, that's what the company allowed, but it's also why they are getting hammered.
