- Flights to Popular East Coast Destinations Begin in November -

ORLANDO, Fla., Aug. 10 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- AirTran Airways, a subsidiary of AirTran Holdings, Inc. (NYSE: AAI - News), today announced the airline will again expand its route map from Sarasota Bradenton International Airport by adding new roundtrip flights to both New York's LaGuardia Airport and Boston's Logan International Airport.
The nonstop daily flights to/from LaGuardia will be served by the airline's popular Boeing 717 aircraft and will begin November 8, 2005. The Boston flights will be served by the newest addition to the airline's fleet, the Boeing 737, and will begin November 16, 2005. Tickets for these flights are now available for purchase.

"New York and Boston are the two largest markets to Florida's rapidly growing Gulf Coast," said John Kirby, Director of Strategic Planning & Scheduling. "With this new service, AirTran Airways offers nonstop service to seven of the top destinations from Sarasota Bradenton International Airport: Atlanta, Baltimore/Washington, Chicago, Detroit and Indianapolis."

"The announcement of New York LaGuardia and Boston Logan nonstop service by AirTran Airways is a significant milestone in the resurgence and growth of Sarasota Bradenton International Airport," said Sarasota Bradenton International Airport President and Chief Executive Officer Fredrick J. Piccolo. "New York City is our number one market; and Boston, over the years, has consistently been a top five market despite the lack of nonstop service. This expansion of AirTran Airways to seven nonstop Sarasota/Bradenton destinations means both visitors and our local community are gaining the ability to fly to and from Sarasota/Bradenton without having to use other facilities.
