Man, what are you talking about? There is no jury in this TSA stuff. Sully was right in there with a bunch of Congressmen, and they were eating it up. This guy commands so much respect after what he did. Finally we all have a really good and articulate spokesman to help us work through a bunch of serious safety issues facing the profession. I have heard he is really making headway on the duty time issues also. This is a gift for all of us, and we should be thankful.

As for CrewPASS, ALPA has been working on this one since before USAPA was in existence. No one actually believes that a bunch of union rookies and "wana-be's" had anything to do with it's success.

Yes, ALPA HAS been working on this forever. Key word FOREVER. Amazing how Sully and USAPA and APA pitch in, and it gets done NOW! Sully has massive horsepower on safety, and they ALL listen to him. Contrary to Prater. Lets' see. Sully gets 100k for a speech, who wants to listen to him??? A lot of people PAY to hear him speak, advise, NOT fly airplanes.

Actually the fact that APA and USAPA took public stands on it, issue press releases, had interviews and incorporated into picketing events did enough to get in on the likes of O'Riely and Beck and enough congressmen against the enhanced procedures grabbed on and used it as a political tool that the ball finally moved on this. Had everyone sat quiet like ALPA, Beck or O'Riely, or Hannity may have never even brought up the idiocy of pilot screening.

Prater, always one to be backed down, was offering the TSA that the pilots would pay $3.00 per head for the system per year. USAPA APA SULLY backed them down. There was nothing gorilla like with Prater, more like a puppy.
