NumbersUSA has been doing everything in its power the last three months to persuade the nation's political leaders and media leaders to address this incongruous policy. Yet to date, there has been no indication whatsoever of a slow-down in importing an average of 138,000 new foreign workers each month -- even as half-million Americans a month are losing jobs.

The fact is that U.S. immigration policies are on automatic pilot. It doesn't matter how terrible the economy becomes -- it doesn't matter that more than 11 million Americans are looking for a job and can't find one. No matter what, businesses can still seek to cut their labor costs by bringing in as many foreign workers as they did when the economy was booming.

The feds will keep cranking out 138,000 new work permits and green cards EACH MONTH to working-age foreign adults unless Congress and the President decide to change current policies so that they serve the interests of American workers.

And this is not even an 'illegal' immigration issue.

Well something has to be done. If the federal government refuses or is incapable of doing what it is supposed to do (keep illegals out) then the states need to take the matter into their own hands. Some states are taking steps to address the illegal problem, Arizona being one of them. When Arizona came down hard on the employers hiring the illegals, the employers did everything they could to ensure those they were hiring were legal. As a result, a large number of illegals left Arizona and went to another state or better yet went back to Mexico. After they left, the crime rate fell, the number of uninsured at hospitals dropped, and a number of non English speaking kids quit showing up for class. If all the states would follow Arizona's lead, they would be forced to return to their countries of origin. If you can't work and you can't get welfare, food stamps, subsidized housing, free medical, free education, etc. then they would have no choice but to leave.

As i have done often,..........I AGREE w/you on this issue, AND doing it the way you've suggested !!!!!!!!!!

I've said it for "EONS", that if NO ONE gives an Illegal a job, then Illegals won't come. That way, the Republicans will NEVER have to build the "fence"(and we all know that the Dems won't)

Like the gun law in NYC years ago w/ an AUTOMATIC trip for a year in the slammer, start throwing Employers in jail AUTOMATICALLY, then you'll see the flow decrease BIG TIME.

Why don't we STOP BULL-SHETTING each other ??
(meaning) that, in a very large percentage of the time, it's BIG BUSINESS(Usually GOP voting) Agri-business Owners that are giving out these jobs !!

I think a better way then government intervention as you suggest above a better method might be a have an economy that is growing so fast we MEED illegals to enter the country and join us ultimately as citizens of a free republic

I'd go along with that suggestion too, but I fear it would be a "tough sell" w/ a lot of those on the Conservative side. My side would be "signing them up" as they cross the border !

It's just like legalizing drugs and prostitution.

If you force those engaged in the worlds oldest profession to register as such, you can require them to:
Get Regular Medical Exams
License and tax them
Eliminate a huge portion of the Underground Economy.

Regarding illegal Aliens, if as a nation we, as you say "Sign them up at the border" then you capture the tax revenue and you also get to know who the heck is here. Back that up with swift and sure deportation proceeding and you have a problem that is not only solved but paid for by the very people who were formally the cause of the problem.

This applies to insane war on drugs as well.

When you give people maximum freedom and liberty you then free up resources to fight legitimate problems. We know that when you attempt prohibition of a substance you raise the price of it and endanger a significant portion of the law abiding population as we know that during Prohibition murder rates, burglary, robbery and other crimes rise and sap resources from law enforcement and the prison system. 6 of 10 people incarcerated are there due to drug and drug related offenses all that is required is to eliminate the war on drugs and we free up resources to fight REAL crimes like Rape and Violent Crimes and give those found guilty nice LONG prison sentences instead of releasing them early to make room for drug criminals.

I say let the Gays & Lesbians marry! Why shouldn't they be miserable like the rest of us.


There relatively simple solutions to seemingly complex problems. What is lacking is the leadership to stand up and say, "We're going to stop being stupid and make this country great again"
