No, you guys did a pretty good job of that yourselves before we got here.
Who made the profit last year? EAST!
Who lost Money last Year? WEST

The old US was running itself into the ground, and don't forget that! Doug brought some life back into the company and made people feel more secure about their job.

Challenges??? Sure thing, not perfect by any means but better than the alternative.

Um, I don't think Doug has the charisma you think he does. Perhaps he "had it" before, but, other than a few brown-nosers of the group, I have yet to meet a real pilot who would concur with your characterization.

I did meet one "check pilot" just after the DAL thing was announced. Listening to him spout in the boarding area, I thought that if he represented management then USAirways was truly in trouble. Such ignorance of reality was astounding as well as entertaining, for me.
 
What say you front line employees as you face the customers daily? You know, the people that pay the fares that ultimately migrate to your paychecks.

Are you not mightily embarrassed every day you work having to apologize for things like the SHARES changeover, lost baggage, inaccurate or non-existent FLIFO, no jetway drivers, no marhallers/wingwalkers, meager catering, missing supplies, Mesa and the F Concourse "Hood", the E Concourse at CLT, fuel stops, Airbus reconfiguration, the web site.......

Please jump in if I've missed anything.

The real question is who can make the service so bad any apology sounds like a 'resounding success'?

The only resounding success is vibrating around the empty head that issued that inane press release and whatever overpaid Executive VP that approved it's release.

Does this airline know when some one is in over their head?
 
Who would not be here anymore without someone to come in and save us? I know who. I remember 2 Christmas in a row wondering what my "plan B" would turn out to be. If your still here it must have been the same as mine. A short memeory may put us back into the "global Carrier of Choice" mode when we were really a regional airline that was constantly retrenching. Some people have too short of a memory.
 
The sad fact is that the groundwork for the troubles in the east started when Wolf and Gangwal did the stock buy back--there would have been an extra 2 Billion in cash had that not happened.

That said, I see more and more of the total disregard for the people who pay most of the bills. Well people are nearing the end of their rope folks--I am getting requests to get members comped at other carriers--and the other carriers smell blood.

I will know more by the end of the month, but we may be nearing the end game here for Preferreds, and I can tell you if the number of people who I have talked to are really leaving, the bottom line will definitely be affected--and not in a good way.

I have been trying to stay positive, but now I think I am moving more into the neutral column..not giving up yet, but getting closer.
