10 pm a few night ago, hanger 5 pit. Manager John Chop walks past the break room and spies 2 guys sitting down. He bardges thru the door, and begins to rant, rave, and swear at the 2. He screams at them, threaten's PE 1's, and to fire them. He is beat red, looks to be on the verge of blowning a head gasket. One of the guys looks at him and says "F--K YOU, we don't work for you". They were electrcian's working for a contractor in the sheetmetal shop. He walks away looking like he is about to lock up.
This is the way the local mangement runs heavy maint. They see nothing wrong with treating people like dirt. Where is the union? Why aren't they demanding them to treat the people with a little discent?
Come March 28, when bumps and moves are made, you might see the feeding begin.

This is the same manager that assaulted an employee and US Airways did nothing to him before.

Ask Delldude.

Mr Chop is the exact management Glass loves, he manages through threats and intimidation. Hangar 5 will now be called Stalag 5 or Gulag 5.

Does this suprise anyone?

He should be fired.. It should have happened years ago.. He was a lazy
mechanic that spent most of his time in the planning office reading the
paper.. They didn't want him on the aircraft because he was a hack.

He also plays favorites big time. If your his buddy you can sleep on the
airplane, if your not his buddy you can't drink a Pepsi unless its break
time.. He's a real classic US Airways leader..

His hero is the Director. "THE SLUG". Another useless mechanic that
worked his way up the ladder..

The big problem with the "Chopper" is no one will stand up to him. The vast
majority of the mechanics in the hangar as scared silly of him and would never
contact corporate to report him. They all fear their for their job which is going
out the door anyway.

The good news is the "Chopper" has everyone painting the hangar because he
said they are going to be the #1 Airbus Facility in the USA thanks to him and
"The Slug".

well bobby boy, my point was that the union should be raising hell about the way the mechanics are treated. I have no idea what the 2 contractors did or didn't do. You can question the validity of this, but I am here in PIT where this kind of crap is an everyday thing, and you are watching from the sidelines on the jersey shore.

PINEY,

I believe cowboy was simply trying to paint a picture of how lower level management's people skills have deteriorated.

CLT HVY has not gotten to that level as of yet but little by little they are chipping away at the remaining shards that once kept human decency in the work place. For starters, management has elected to remove the coffee pots from the hangar bay areas. They claim it's due to the Star Alliance audit?? Now they want you to travel 3 minutes on foot to the breakroom, only at break time. So let me take you on a trip.

The break signal is sounded. You put your tools down and head 2 minutes for the restroom to wash up. Then you proceed another 2 minutes on foot to the big breakroom where you find empty coffee pots from everyone in front of you. So you put a pot on to brew....another 5 minutes elapses. You finally get your cup and you have 3 WHOLE MINUTES to drink your coffee and have your 12 minute break. Why?? Because you are not allowed to have coffee on the hangar floor!!! And they say the breakrooms will be locked until break time. That is exactly the Bulls**t Jerry glASS deems appropriate treatment of employees. Nevermind that it took only about 1 minute to grab a cup in the bay!!!

This is but one of the reasons, along with the farmout of my profession, that I have decided to voluntary seperate myself from this house of horrors. I gave 17 years of my life to this place only to have my heart ripped out of my chest and my wallet ripped from my ass  !! And I can assure you that my next career will not have ANYTHING to do with airlines or airplanes. But this is where U-S Airways business ethics have taken me.....to an all time high on the disdain chart. I abhor these inept robber barons  !!!

UAIR's execs suck and will always suck. This company is nothing more than a loser magnet where management is concerned. So I choose not to be a part of this place as it is continually run into the ground and slowly dismantled by these flunkies.

"I see stupid people......they are everywhere......they are just walking around and they don't even know that they're stupid!!"

Good luck to all that are forced to remain and who deserve better. I cannot believe what has become of our beloved Piedmont after UAIR got hold of her 🙁 .

Yeah yeah yeah everyone voted no before and after vote. It is just when they were alone at the ballot box that somehow "yes" got checked off. Bunch of sniveling scared babies.

In the entire time I have been at this airline, I have never voted yes to a contract. I am on the line, where you are still treated like an adult. I am a man with a back bone, and have never had to have someone walk the walk for me. If and when the time comes, I will be more then ready to step up.
Hey dudey, why hasn't your boy uncle frankie or dollar bill come forward to try and defuse the situation?

Hey VOTE NO,

I have pictures of me and all my NO ballots at the voting locations just in case I ran across any doubting Thomas types 😛 .

How about you <_< ????

anybody that knows me, knows that i don't need a picture of my ballot. i always felt that if you needed a picture of how you voted, there was a good chance that you may be a fence sitter.

Show me the "video" then I will believe. But lets have a look see anyway . Post your pictures.

When people say they have proof they voted no it reminds me of the IAM offer to the company. You never see it you just hear it exists.

By the way you call me thomas, oh did you manage to get that IAM offer in the pictures too? Didn't think so.
