Hello,
Any AA guys/gals who are AMT's we have several openings for Maintenance Controllers. It does not state it in the job posting but this will require 777 experience. If you have 777 experience and would like to sit behind a desk and if you don't mind living in Memphis we will have several openings. Most likely you would wind up working 777's and 767's when we get them. I believe it pays 85k to 90k to start after one yr it is 100k+. I do believe they still over the full moving package and one months salary as a bonus. You will have to have some avionics background as all controller jobs are posted that way now. FedEx calls controllers Avionic Elec Technical Specialists but controller is what you are. Here is a link.

Thanks for the heads up. Will forward it out. I'm sure they will get a few responses from AA

Noticed from the Fixjets ad that the school which has two campus' , one in Tampa and one in BOSTON only produced 230 mechanics.

What is the policy on transferring to other jobs, ie AMT?

You can do it..Would be after 2 years though. Also they have knocked the starting pay for an AMT down so low it really isn't worth it.. Would be a hell of a pay cut. Eventually you would get back up to 100k but would take years.
