Wondering if any East pilots have an Ipad. I'm thinking about getting one, but I'm not sure how to run CATCREW on it. Any suggestions?
I like the size of the Ipad and it looks like netbooks are on the way out. Thanks.

Catcrew is not available on the iPad as the old DOS program that runs Catcrew is much to old to accomodate the 21st Century iPad. It would be nice if we could access Catcrew on the iPad.

I'm not an east pilot but I do have an iPad. One possible option is to use GoToMyPC which has an app for the iPad. You would take control of your home PC with your iPad and then you should be able to access anything your home PC/Mac can a run or access. It's not perfect, but I really like the way GoToMyPC works, especially on a WiFi connection. You can get a free trial to test it out before you suscribe to the service.

Catcrew isn't DOS. (Disk Operating System) The reason it won't run on the IPad is because it's not an approved program of Apple's. It only runs the programs approved by Apple or purchased thru their online store. FYI.

The new netbooks will though.

I just got an iPad 2, and that's my one complaint. Our FTP site and inventory database are not compatible. Supposedly our IT department is working on the compatibility issue, so I would suggest that you call US's IT department. They may already be working on a solution.

I haven't used it in this context, but GoToMyPC is an awesome tool. Very cool, and easy to use.

The only drawback is that you have to leave your home PC power up and connected to the internet at all times. That could make some uncomfortable.
