I've got Sirius which IMHO is the better product.... Stern/Bubba/NFL/NHL and so on. The only plus is getting Baseball.

Any XM people out there? Is there anything else to look forward to if the merger takes place?

NEW YORK (Reuters) - Sirius Satellite Radio plans to buy larger U.S. rival XM for $4.6 billion in stock to bring entertainers such as Oprah Winfrey and shock-jock Howard Stern under one roof, but a top regulator said the deal would face a tough time winning approval.

I have XM and if Howard Stern is around, I'm canceling my subscription. What a waste of Oxygen! That IMHO. If I want to listen to swearing & egos, I just go to Department meetings

Howard's not everybody's cup of tea. My wife hates the show she call's it "bathroom humor". I cannot have the show on in her presence (one of the reasons why I work in a different city that I live). I do listen because there are times where he get's celeb's out of their comfort zones and it's interesting.

I initially chose Sirius though because I could listen to the "Steelers" games when I am working out of town. It was only after I had Sirius that I remebered Howard was there.

You don't have to "throw the baby out with the bathwater" just delete the channel.

For one unit(reciever) about 13 a month. I only have one right now but for each additional unit it's and extra 6$ or so on the same subscription. I have had it almost a year and I am still finding new programming.

Right now one of my guilty pleasures is listening ot Alan Combs on the Fox radio network.
