If the APFA is anything like the TWU, the have secret permission to implement it anyway.

They are the same as the TWU. Just look at what the APFA did back in 2003. We voted NO on concessions and the next day they got it changed to a YES. The APFA s**ks!

You think APFA is bad, just take a look at UAL or US contracts... Please... Our union pushed for a yes vote knowing what a no vote would result in...
Lets see we still have a pension, incentive pay, higher hourly wages... GO APFA !!! In Unity...

I am disappointed that the negotiating committee is going to be reduced and I believe that this change puts too much power into the BOD and the president. Overall, I am pleased with the results and believe that these changes will make a stronger union.

I agree with you as this will make our union stronger and better able to serve it's members. This is a good direction for us.

I agree too. Very happy with the results.

This union couldn't get a $1.65 increase in union dues (for negotiations) and has once again managed to pit junior against senior. The elected members of the negotiating team (not that they are now used..so much for the "will" of the membership) have been redued to one for each division....and you all think it was good.... And more telling is the fact that over 10,000 couldn't be bothered to vote or have very little confidence in this union. OVER 10,000. Now that is a membership mandate. Again, LOL.

Well the union is going in the direction of the people that care.
The people that voted. Yes I do believe this is a great direction
that the APFA is taking. Anyone that chose not to vote should
not complain. Again very happy with the results.

Couldn't agree with you more Maark767. We have all this people
that hate APFA. Why should they have the right to vote.
Proposal #5 was the most important. Thanks goodness it pass.

We are so on the same page.... Why would APFA support and represent all these people that hate the union. They never wore their union pins , dogged APFA every chance they got. Anything the union did was never good enough.
This was so necessay and a good ending.....

There was no reason to raise our dues, if more people were going to be responsible to pay them. Either way APFA gets more dues money. Some will come from those that want to vote and use the benefits APFA provides and some will come from leins on their houses and from collection services. Either way, APFA wins. The really sad part about this is that it never had to be this way. For some reason the TWA work force demanded unreasonable concessions from APFA F/A's starting 4-10-01 and continue today. Problem is that they don't like the push back from the APFA F/A's. You reap the "rewards" that you deserve. It's too bad so many people's jobs are continually put at risk by so few of their former co-workers and continue to be put at risk by those who no longer work here. It is extremely sad that the TWA F/A leadership was so adversarial from the begining and continues to be. It could have been so different. It should be time for those wasting time on fruitless fights to start worrying about those that are going to lose recall rights by this time next year. I think there are 2 different groups. One this November and one at the begining of January 2011.
