Are The Strike & Layoffs ---> Personal Bankruptcy?

Do you know any NWA employees (or former employees) who are considering filing for personal bankruptcy before October 17?

New laws that go into effect on the 17th will make it more difficult for people to file and will protect them less from creditors.

In anticipation of these changes, Americans have been filing for Chapter 7 in record numbers. Last week alone, 68,000 people filed -- twice the usual number.

We're looking into how the new bankruptcy laws may affect Minnesotans. One lawyer we've spoken with says he's heard from a few AMFA members who are considering the idea.

If you know an NWA employee (or former employee) who is considering filing before October 17, we'd really like to talk with him or her.

You can contact me directly at [email protected] .

Please feel free to forward this email to your colleagues.

Thank you for your help. It's been invaluable to our NWA strike coverage to have NWA employees past and present share their experiences with us.
