You are finally correct. ATL should not fear US because this deal has little chance of actually happening. If you wanted to fly a widebody pal you should have gone to work for a company that had them. Maybe US should change their name to EBAY airlines. Making bids and hoping to stick something used under your tree that you can not afford. The DL "buy it now" price is rising and just how much are you willing to give up to get DL widebodies for you to play with?
Parker is reminding me very much of Lorenzo in the mid80's. Buying NYAir, Peoples, Frontier and trying to merge them all together to form the new CAL. How much of what he purchased stayed intact? That would be the same result if Parker buys DL. Of course you should know about failed mergers. Look at what U did to PSA and Piedmont. Add in America West and Delta and you only need one more to become an ace for your "kills".

Of all the posters that have frequented the boards over the years, I find you to be one of the most obnoxious.
If you are not trying to impune the professionalism of the Southwest pilots on the WN forum, or throw barbs at the Chipster for his opinions, you always come up with some derogatory comment regarding any subject or poster.
I'm sure your fellow UAL pilots roll their eyes when they see your name on the trip ID and say, Oh no, not that (fill in the blank) again!

You have hit the two hot button issues. Hipster doofus and WN. Hipster for his US/UA merger mania predictions of ICT/UCT and various other BS issues he likes to rant about. I don't believe the US bid for DL is a good idea for Dl. For your buddy to try and spin it as such a great combination is absurd. His veiled threats of a DL breakup are annoying enough but add his past ICT/UCT postings and he looks like a Chump.
As for WN. Well they are another subject and one poster over there that hails from the plains needs his charming personality kept in check.

NYC. Best of luck. I think DL is going to do fine without US. While WT gives DL a bad nam on this board , DL is a good carrier and has great people (wt being the exception and not the rule) to my experiences with travel on DL as both a non-rev and revenue.
