Hi All,
I'm thinking about doing my instructor rating at Bighorn Helicopters out of Springbank Airport, AB this year. Anyone able to give me an insight into the quality of the course they offer. I spoke to them last year and first impressions were good. Cheers...

Well I would look at other schools, to put it straight and short, they suck!!! Would not recommend them to my worst enemy! And they will screw you around too. :down:

I'm kinda surprised at "need GPS's" comments. Would you care to elaborate? I really would be interested in the good, bad and ugly points of view out there, or should I just trust my gut instinct (not let me down yet!)

like i tell all the potential students that come through our door looking for a school to train.....................

check them all out. go to all the schools and ask ALOT of questions. lyle over at heli-college has a report called "11 questions" that is good. get it and read it. couple of questions i would recommend is class size per instructor, helicopter types used, ect ect.............

remember, find the one right for YOU! good luck!

and yes, use your gut feeling.
