And I'll just add a little to that - the debt collection industry is monstrous, and they will generally stop at nothing if the smell of money is in the air. It's up to each person to complete their own due diligence on what the law says regarding these kinds of outstanding debts. (It's always interesting to see how NHBB can spin just about anything into a republican vs. democrat debate, but in this case this is a non-partisan issue.)

I call it sheer ignorance. People somehow equate Capitalism to Wall Street Banks, Bernie Madoff, Mortgage Companies debt collectors. That couldn't further from the truth.

And since we are on the subject, wasn't far-left billionaire George Soros one of Obamas and Dem party biggest funding participants, a capitalist, and a man who wants to impose a radical left agenda on America at the benefit of Obama?

Such a timely thread! Just an hour ago, I got a call from a debt collector regarding my ex-wife's bill for Banana Republic. She owes them $647.65. They would be willing to settle for less, but I'm not paying her bills.

I've also gotten calls from Sprint regarding her unpaid cell phone bill of $265. Are the calls going to increase in frequency when she dies? LOL

Normally it would be just annoying, but since I have a court hearing coming up, actually I don't mind getting these calls. I'll be happy to tell the judge that my ex-wife doesn't pay her bills and I know she doesn't pay her bills because the bill collectors are calling me, and she wants MORE child support? I'm trying not to laugh! Ha ha ha ha ha!!!
