s far as petty pilferage goes, the miniature bottles of liquor sold on airplanes can be as tempting as hotel soap and salad bar dinner rolls. Although harder to steal, those cute little bottles have found their way into the pocket of a nimble-fingered traveler from time to time.
But according to the authorities, a group of workers at La Guardia Airport decided to pilfer those tiny bottles on a much larger scale, stealing nearly 400,000 of them, worth about $1.5 million, from American Airlines over the last year.
