crack found in USAir plane window

Geez, you couldn't tell that it was a seven-three just by the shape of the windows, let alone the dorsal fin? Turn in your airliner geek membership card right now!

and also because of the cargo doors going in instead of out

*sighs* I hereby resign my commission as an airliner geek *rips my card up*

I want to blame it on US Airways for not getting my Coffee and Tea today as I was commuting between the Pittsburgh and Philly route. Apparently I got the Uniform Nazis this morning, I couldn't fit in the culottes and skorts and my fat was squeeshing out so I wasn't in compliance apparently...don't they know size Pittsburgh doesn't exist anymore? *sighs*

That's a view of the future....what will happen when the coin box goes up on the toilet paper dispenser in the lavs........

Actually, my wife emailed me that picture about 3 years ago along with some opening cautionary tale about "cracks in US Airways DC-9 windows" for which after reviewing the picture, I commented, "That's a 737... you can tell by the vertical stabilizer and US Airways retired the DC-9 many years ago." She looked at me as if I was the ultimate airline geek.

Just to confirm her belief, using the registration number, I emailed her pics of the same 737 when it was in service... it is still a running joke with her today. If I wasn't an airline geek, why else would I work here?

So Recounts Jester.

Stop selling coffee.

Crack is more addictive, and the profit margin is though the roof.

These cracks were frequently found in the late 80's and 90's in old hangar stations (PIT,BUF,ROA,TPA,etc) and were subsequently removed by fireings, closings, and furloughs.

But that is a 1997 Paint Scheme when Wolf changed US Air to US Airways.

I'm shure an occational stress crack occationally occures to this day!
