The first group of recalled FA's, 227 (of whom 221 elected to return) with original seniority dates from July '66 through June '72, are currently going through the fingerprinting, medical, and background checks for training the week of Dec 6 - 10, four classes of two days each. They will go on line Dec. 17. The second group's letters will be sent out on Nov. 15. The first 100 of the second group, original seniority dates June '72 through May '75, will go on line Jan 31. The final 218, seniority May '75 through July '77, will go on line April 1, 2011. Training dates and other details will be released later.

All those being recalled were recalled and trained for 3.5 weeks in 2007 - 2008 and subsequently furloughed in two groups, April and October 2009. There are 797 still on the recall list, who have been out since 2002 - 2003 and will require the whole 3.5 weeks of training before returning to flying. It is hoped those remaining will be back this spring and summer.

American Airlines Flight Service Vice President Update:

Hello, this is Denise Lynn and today is Thursday, November 4, 2010.

<snip>

Next, let me share an update on our offer of re-employment of up to the 545 most senior flight attendants on the recall list. 220 of the 227 furloughed flight attendants who were mailed Recall letters in October have accepted the offer of re-employment and will train in early to mid December and report to base on December 17.

We will be sending Recall Notices to the next most senior (approximately) 315 flight attendants on the recall list in two phases:

Recall Notices to the 100 most senior flight attendants will be mailed on November 16 and must be returned to the company by December 1. Those who accept recall will have a report-to-base date of January 31, 2011 for the February contractual month. Training will be conducted in January at Flagship University (FSU).

Recall Notices to the remaining approximately 214 flight attendants will be mailed on November 30, and must be returned to the company by December 14. Those who accept recall will have a report-to-base date of April 1, 2011 for the April contractual month. Training will be conducted in March at FSU.
