A Delta Air Lines executive said Tuesday he understands why other carriers are hesitant to combine in the current economic and high fuel price environment, but he insists his company has no plans to walk away from its proposed acquisition of Northwest Airlines.

Article says further domestic capacity cuts will happen but no job cuts in addition to the 3000 already taken in the buyouts/retirements. Hopefully, they'll offer F/A's PLOC's!

Well I may be wrong because I have never taken one but I believe it is where one can put in a bid to take a month off without pay and still have thier medical. I think that is the jist of it.

PLOC I believe stands for
Personal Leave Of Convenience. You have medical but you have to PAY for it.
around 400 for one person one month. Its great but helps if you are on your spouse's
medical. ;-)
