Delta pilot's will cave!

Saying the pilots will cave is a little over the top. Both sides reached another 19 mil in savings last week, so there is movement. I work for DAL but am not a pilot but the majority of them do not want to jump off a cliff and I believe with both parties still negotiating, shows me that both sides will reach an agreement. It is ugly, but show me a bankrupcy that isn't? Alpa wants to reach an agreement that won't strip the whole contract, and I agree with them..That being said, both sides know what has to be done and I believe they will do it in quick fashion..

Cave might be a bit extreme but since the interim agreement seems to give about 75% of what the company was asking, there clearly was a recognition that the company controls more than ALPA previously wanted to admit.
There is a quote from a DL pilot who visited St. Patrick's cathedral in NYC in a paper Sunday. He said, "I didn't pray for myself and I didn't pray for ALPA. I prayed for Delta. I want this airline to survive." That statement says volumes about the fear and motivation of DL pilots. I think they will be rewarded for their sacrifice in good time.
