Everyone is starry-eyed over our nice Asia routes...but the truth of the matter is.... with NW management embedded within, forget about it. They're just going to outsource those jobs to Asian F/A for cheap....and wherever else labor is cheap. NW had no problems getting together a program to exploit Chinese nationals and attempt to rid 3,000 people. They're trying it again on a larger scale. ...just like NZ F/A they get from China.

im just curious, i wonder if this is a smart move on DAL to do this now in the event say that a merger does go thru, then may be it is to prevent AA or another airline from trying to get a hold of the routes

I may be mistaken, but IMO this is really just a useless paper-pushing exercise to conform the reality (de-facto transfer once DL and NW are one corporate entity) to the old paper (which will still say NW unless these apps are filed to transfer the authority). Lawyer busy-work for new-hire lawyer or bored paralegal.
