DL Connex (ASA) celebrates one year at ILG (Wilmington, DE)

Should read - DL Connection carrier ASA announces it will cancel ILG service in September 2007.

Yeah I already know. I just haven't had the time to post. I work at ILG for a car rental company. It's amazing how Delta works...celebrate the anniversary with talks of adding additional flights and then turn around and discontinue all service.

Congratulations from the other Wilmington! I work at ILM (Wilmington, NC). A few times each year, we get passengers flying in to ILM, who bought tickets to ILM, thinking they are in Delaware.! Anyway, I hope your airport continues to draw added air service.

Another failed Connection experiment - but at least DL/EV had the guts to try it.
Who knows, maybe Allegiant, Skybus, or some other discount carrier will use ILG and milk it to it's potential.

...maybe someone at UAL will be crazy or stupid enough to bring back "Service to All 50 States"!

I'm not so sure that this didn't have something to do with the TSA and DCI being the only scheduled carrier at the airport.

A friend who works for DL told me that in Marathon, the TSA told them that they wouldn't be ready to staff the airport until 6 months AFTER Delta said they were starting service. That was a major reason for them ending service. Might have been the same story at ILG.
