DL pulling back JFK-SEA BE service?

It seems fewer and fewer DL flights in the JFK-SEA market are being operated with BusinessElite (recliner) seats than before. Back in late 2012/early 2013 DL delegated these aircraft to SEA (along with LAX & SFO) and provide the enchanted onboard meal service, Tumi amenity kits, Westin pillow and duvet set. Lately it seems several daily flights are operating with 75X (26 F seat) and 738 aircraft which lack even recliner style seats. DL maintains the no medallion upgrade policy in this market nonetheless. At anyways this is a deceptive practice as they have marketed it as full BusinessElite service but seem to be backpedaling lately. They should either maintain the full BE service or go back to serving it like any other domestic route and permit Medallion UGs. Also of not, DL only guarantees flat beds on JFK-LAX, not even SFO. I assume it's only a matter of time until the mods get completed and they are offered on JFK-SFO consistently. Maybe DL realized SEA doesn't produce the same premium traffic as LAX (or even SFO).

in a word, no.

your theory doesn't work.

But I guess you realized your TLV diatribe was getting old so you decided to move elsewhere.

DL is operating one more flight per week thru the winter than they did before but they did it by using 738s for one flight. DL didn't operate every flight last year with a BE 757 and they also had 767s in the schedule which aren't there.

DL has more frequencies and a slightly smaller (3%) amount of seats.

DL has a higher share of seats in the market than any other carrier and increased frequency further increases DL's share of the market

Explain why DL is marketing it as a BE flight and not providing BE service that is false advertising and deceptive. Much like CO did with BusinessFirst to Hawaii, they had the same BF seat and was sold in C inventory but it lacked the full BF service one would experience flying to Europe, Asia or TLV. But again-frequency and capacity aside point is DL has marketed a service that they aren't delivering that's the bottom line here.

Again DL is selling the flights in BusinessElite inventory regardless of if they are BE equipped or not. They are not allowing Medallion UGs either. IMO that's pretty deceptive. I know you think I'm trolling here but I'm just pointing out a failure in DLs part that is deceptive where they are over promising and under delivering.

Damn, Josh.  You know how upset he gets when you attempt to confuse him with facts--particularly when you can provide the webpage links that he can never seem to produce.  Now he'll be all over the WN and AA forums pointing out how we are doomed to failure because our lav revenue per available toilet miles is way below Delta's and if we don't fix this critical shortcoming we will be back in bankruptcy before Easter.

All flights between JFK and LAX DO offer lie flat Business Elite seats. DL is selling JFK-SFO as the old BE seats.

All intercontinental flights operated on widebody aircraft on DL's entire system have lie flat seats.

there is no false advertising.

Yes it is false advertising. DL may provide the enhanced catering, Westin Heavenly pillow/duvet, and Tumi amenity kit but it is not the full BE service someone would experience to LAX/SFO let alone longhaul flights. Again why is it being marketed as BE with BE inventory if it's not Be? One of four flights some days offer angle flat seats, the rest are recliners. So by your logic should ATL-LAX also be marketed as BE? More of those flights have angle flat and lie flat seats than JFK-SEA. WT you are way off base here, it is clearly a deceptive practice and false advertising on DLs part you just can't see past your agenda.

Let me translate for everyone

See josh started this about jfk-sea

However since josh is right I convenently without anyone noticed focused on lax and SFO and dropped SEA figuring no one would notice

It's called a tried a true strategy - change the subjects

Robbed I would I'm traveling and only have my iPad-but if you search Delta.con it shows Business. Furthermore DL is pricing it as BE and using BE inventory.

Josh

you are correct
It was advertised both internally and externally as BE service
For LAX/SFO/SEA
NYC and LAX based F/A's even had to complete computer based training
For these particular flights. ALL three destinations were advertised to
Receive this service.
SEA I don't think ever went FULL BE service for some reason.

Wldnt that be false advertising?
Yes it is false advertising and is deceptive. but I'm sure WT doesn't think so and will rationalize DLs underhanded tacticso here with irrelevant and unattributed statistics about fares and operational performance and much like corporate DLs attitude toward customers he'll say "screws you", don't like what DL offers don't fly DL, DL is profitable, etc, etc, etc
