During his team’s flight home to Seattle after Monday night’s victory, Seahawks punter Jon Ryan noticed something amiss about the in-flight service.  The 32-year-old from Regina apparently got hold of a Baltimore Orioles menu and noticed the Seahawks selections weren’t quite up to snuff.

Is it possible the Seahawks team ordered different from Orioles

Airline caterers can do whatever airlines or customer is willing to pay for. Despite the garbage UA serves on their own flights UA Chelsea catering caters SQ at IAH.

the pettiness of all things Delta on here is getting ridiculous.
With Charters it's quite simple.  Delta doesn't favor one over another.
If they order it, they get it. Simple.
Think of a celebrity's rider.  Pretty much the same thing.
Maybe a more accurate headline is Baltimore Orioles are more demanding
than the Seahawks ?

This was an unfair cut at DL.  Everyone knows that no 2 charters are alike.  Even from the same company.  If the executive staff is onboard a corporation charter, there is beef filet and grilled salmon with wild rice.  If the corporate charter is filled with peons, then it's the usual mystery meat and green beans.

What really struck me about the DTW-BWI flight is that at 400 miles, it probably takes about 90 minutes, tops. Especially since it departs late after the baseball game and probably sees no delays on either end. That's a lot of food for 90 minutes. Dinner and Breakfast was served.

The WAS-SEA flight, on the other hand, took more like six hours, plenty of time for the feast.

Food/ booze are all tailored by each team. Amount of food is tailored by each team. There is always way too much and the teams usually don't eat much. The line of ramp workers waiting for the leftovers is around the block.

Lol. Too true.

Never understood why on the NBA charters a PDX-SEA segment was catered the same as, say, PDX-IND...

...but I sure never complained, either.

The best were the Raiders charters coming from the east coast back home. Filet, shrimp, burgers, fresh fruit, etc. After the loss was golden. They didn't eat much after getting their ass chewed during a 4 hour flight.

It was also good because they were handled at OAK. No company ramp, just a couple of us mechanics, F/A'S and the load crew. All ate good and the rest went to a local shelter courtesy of some folks willing to take it over 😉

Guess the plane was NOT cleaned very well if the previous menu was found on board the A/C

Thats all it is. Just like some teams have the same FAs while some are completely random. Its all what you want and how much you wanna pay.

Always great when they unload and bring them over to the hangar for a RON.......and AirServ doesn't show up till morning.... You will see people from the other hangars racing in tugs and golf carts to get to the plane first lol.
