I worked mostly in PHL (cust. svc), as well as BOS, RIC, and DEN in the '90s.
PHL:
-McCloskey's breakfast 'diner' in the ABR room on under B5
-the old employee lot in Cargo City
-the never ending construction wall partitions in B & C
-the employee cafe down by D
-the cash deal
-3 on, 4 off swap deals & those that would fly in half way through their shift
-the dingy domestic ticket counter in B
-Willows and the Gaslight
-going up to U Penn after the 10am bank left and playing ice hockey. Then back to work for the 1230p arrivals.
-mainline employees working Express, the B-13 pit operation, and oh yes, the trailers at the commuter pad.
-two TA departures to CDG & FRA at the end of C-Con. BA was doing our London flights at the time.
BOS:
-we were the only station that had to use a timeclock & had to swipe our ID badges in before/after shift. We all worked to the end of our shift time, EVERY night. I was due to some Mass. overtime law.
DEN:
-having 3 agents & a PSS working every flight, all 737s at the time. This after coming from PHL where we were fortunate to have two of us working the trans-Atlantic flights.
-telling the stories of what happened in PHL and constantly hearing, "that happened?" or "they did what".
