Please be careful as to the amount of security related items that are disclosed on the open forum. The specific questions here are easily found out by going to the airport and are not that sensitive, but be careful about specific security discussions.
Thanks.

Theres only one way to find out and come and see for yourself.
I dont think anyone at LAX is going to say for sure at least I
hope they dont.

You must be kidding?

And if you were not, I'd suggest to you that security thru obscurity leads to silly things, like removal of shoes.....

Can you imagine where we would be had Richard Reid worn explosive underwear?

No I wasnt. There are a lot of things people would love to know, and they can find them out if they really want to, I'm sure, but this is not the place to be discussing ANY sensitive security related issues. There are general security related issues and then there are sensitive security related issues.

Folks, I agree with Scot. Please, no discussions about security on any open forum.

How is the info requested in the original post here "sensitive?"

Couldn't any nitwit approach a UA representative at LAX and say, "I am travelling SA today and am not familiar with LAX, could you please direct me to the employee line?"

And once one makes it to that location, wouldn't one have to go through the security checkpoint anyway before making it any further?

Aren't employee security checkpoints at airports generally clearly labelled, "Employee Security Checkpoint?" What's the secret?

I am all for not discussing sensitive security issues in a public forum, but help me out with this one-- what am I missing?

Folks and Scot, I feel this thread should be closed and all threads on all airline boards that involve "Security" should be closed as soon as they may be opened.

Please reread the original post/warning. It was stated that THIS question was not security sensitive, however if someone is looking for answers to questions, one little innocent question CAN lead to more and more questions that you might consider innocuous until they are all put together. I would hope that anyone in an aviation job would realize how this COULD be a problem.
