Dear Mr. Fxxxx,

Thank you for visiting usairways.com.

We are currently reworking the menu's and plan to re-launch a more
traditional menu in the spring before moving the fleet to to Europe for
the season. In some markets (UK, Ireland) we have replaced the brunch
menu's already with lunch only. We are looking to change the other menu's in the near
future.

If you have any further questions or concerns, please feel free to reply
or call our Internet Support Desk at (800) 327-7810. We know that you
have many choices and we thank you for choosing US Airways.

Sincerely,

US Airways

I was upgraded to Envoy class since coach was oversold. I was
very happy for that. But one thing I must point out and I am hoping
that you all consider changing one thing in Envoy.

Almost all of your European flights depart around 12pm or later.
Serving bruch is a bad idea when departing the EU. Everyone in Envoy
was complaining on how US was serving brunch when most people earlier
that morning already had breakfast and our flight was leaving at
12:45pm.

By the time our flight left the ground and they started to serve it was
close to 2pm in the afternoon. Who serves bruch at that time? Even the
European flights that leave at 11:30....by the time the flight
attendants get around to serving it's already clost to 1:30pm. US
Airways used to serve lunch and just a few months ago you all changed
this policy. The most customers are not very pleased by this
because there is only 1 lunch item to choose from on the menu and the
rest is breakfast items.

I am hoping you all reconsider changing the menu back to lunch.

Respectfully,

TF

Brunch done airline style is a less sucky version of Lunch. Getting rid of brunch on that flight and replacing it with lunch is like exchanging a punch in the manberries for a kick to the stomach.

Either way you're going to be hunched over within minutes and wondering what the hell you were thinking when you agreed to that. And possibly puking.

I swanee, if those dorks in Tempe ever manage to produce a written communication piece without a typo or grammatical error, I may faint. It's pathetic.

Obviously, Tempe has no problem with the fact that they look like a band of blithering idiots because they continuously do this sort of thing. There are typos in QIK, typos in AboutUS, FAQs, etc., etc. and obviously in customer communication. CCY would have fired someone for this. Spell check???

And they make fun of North Carolina's public schools and literacy rate? Sheesh. My NC 2nd grader had the word "deciduous" on a spelling test two weeks ago. Meanwhile, alleged grown-ups in Tempe don't know that an apostrophe is used for a possessive or a contraction and not to pluralize a noun.

I can see this on the side of a country road - a hand-painted sign that reads "Boiled P-nut's" or something. LCC is supposed to be an international corporation.

<end of rant>

I work LHR and MAN almost exclusively. This is a bold-faced lie and NOT TRUE. The menu selections are still the same omelets, french toast and chicken/pasta offerings. C'mon Tempe, can you at least tell the truth to the VFFs?

My last US trip across the pond was in Envoy and I have to say they set new lows in catering, in my opinion. They served some tuna thingy which, on smell alone, turned my stomach.

Definitely in need of a revamp.

Typoe's notwithstanding, I keep wondering about this Tuna Burrito I've been hearing about for so long. Cooking is one of my hobbie's, and I can't for the life of me figure out how to make something like that even remotely palatable. Guess I'd have to taste it to figure out where the "chef" was going with such a concoction.

Maybe he'd had too much of the vodca when he came up with the idea.
Just like the dude who typed that letter with all of the apostrophe's.

The current rotation is the chicken florentine sandwich in Envoy (which isn't too bad actually) and prior to that it was the chicken burrito. I've, in 12 years of flying transatlantic, have never once seen the tuna burito. I think this is a bad rummor people just keep rehashing. Let it go!!

Ya know, I haven't said much about the changes at this airline for a long time. I don't care WHO at the company reads these boards. YOU were warned by many a flight attendant that "brunch" would go over like a lead balloon before it was implemented. You know, flight attendants that actually WORK in the cabin. You just can't listen to experience and take advice before changes are made. Most who are involved with the implemented changes in many areas of this company show NOTHING but pure arrogance and ignorance. That SLOP that you call an "upgrade" to the Envoy product is just that S-L-O-P! ! ! ! ! That is MY opinion. While we're talking about crap food what is with that appetizer tray? You have a tray of wilted food and scallops that smell like they came from some back alley on a hot summer day. Oh on the non chilled 757 EFLOPS carts they're just dandy. 🙄 I'm sorry but NO OTHER airlines has this kind of junk. If passengers KNEW ahead of time what the service would be for their few grand a ticket would they pay it up front knowing? Doubtful. Again that is MY opinion. The best thing to do is listen to the employees. They do know a thing or two about their job and what passengers want. Hopefully things will change.

It does, or at least, DID, exist. It was served on one of my last US Envoy trips last Spring, I believe.

I always refuse the pre-landing service, anyway.

OK....It was never "tuna", that was started by one of the FF'ers that was making fun of the "new" Envoy service a while back. The filling inside the "empanada" was/is "shredded chicken in a southwestern sauce". 🙄 Albeit, probably not the most appetizing of "snacks" and I repeat "snacks".....it's better than a cold and stale sandwhich. And by the way, I've worked Envoy quite a few times this year and those " snack trays" with the "burritos" are coming back to the Galley pretty well devoured! 🙄

Just because you have never seen or eaten a tuna burrito does not mean they don't exist. They do.

Maybe, some day you will be fortunate enough to find out.
