As you can clearly see. On average, Delta pilots lost on relative seniority. I have also spoken to pilots that have lost 2-3% relative seniority.

In a relative seniority merger, gaining/losing 1% is about as good as it gets since the ratios used almost never work out nice and even - like 2 to 1 - for anyone on the list.

Apply the varied ratios throughout the list and someone somewhere will gain/lose 2-3% (or more) when listed as you did - base by base on specific equipment instead of relative position before on their applicable list (DL or NW) and after on the combined list.

Here is the ratio of the whole picture!

Population Sector-----RATIO(DAL:NWA)-----Bias in favor of-----Effective bias amount

Top 25% - - - - - - - - - - - 1961:1084- - - - - - - Delta- - - - - - - - 1 point
26%-44%- - - - - - - - - - - 1313:1120- - - - - - - Northwest- - - - - 6 points

77%-99%- - - - - - - - - - - 1314:957- - - - - - - -Northwest- - - Marginal
Bottom 1%- - - - - - - - - - - Date of hire

Yeah - if you calculate the ratios used they are 1.81:1, 1.17:1, 1.91:1, and 1.37:1. Obviously you can't put 1.81 pilots from one side on the list in order, so you end up using 9:5, 7:6, 19:10, and 11:8. Even then, you have to occasionally put an extra pilot from one side or the other in to balance out the remaining fractions. That all throws the relative positions before and after out of whack a little.
