You can bet Hollyweird is looking at making a movie on this. So, who would you cast?

Here's my first casting draft...

Captain Sully – Sean Connery
First Officer Jeff -- Nicolas Cage

Doreen -- Jean Smart
Donna -- Annette Bening
Sheila -- Lorraine Bracco

Air Traffic Controller – Billy Bob Thorton
NYPD Cop – Joe Pesci
Ferry Captain Vince Lombardi -- James Gandolfini
The US Airways Mechanic – Mickey Rourke or George Kennedy
Doug Parker – Will Farrell
Mayor Bloomberg -- Ben Stein
Sully’s wife -- Kim Basinger
Sully’s kids – Emma Roberts, Hayden Panettiere

I'm sure some will put a lot of thought into this post, but I'm not gonna try. One modification though. For Sully I'd go with Harrison Ford. They're a bit closer agewise and Ford is a pilot. Go real overboard and put Travolta as the FO!

The other guy I thought might be good for Captain Sully is Chris Cooper the FBI guy from the Bourne movies. Don't laugh but F/O Jeff looks like comedian Jeff Foxworthy -- any actors out there that look like him? As for the passengers there is one guy on the plane that was a ringer for Jeremy Piven -- even the NY POST ran a story saying "No that wasn't Jeremy Piven on 1549". The skivies guy should be played by the stalker dude from "Blades of Glory."

Mrs. Sully is gorgeous so I think Kim Basinger or Michelle Pfeiffer would be appropriate.

Any more ideas?

How bout me as Sully. Then have Mrs Sully play herself. I'd be OK with Kim
Bassenger or Michelle Peifer if she wasn't available.

If the producers wanted to go the "Airplane" style of movie I would go
for that guy Jim Cramer (Mad Money) in the lead.

But serioulsly, it offends me that no one has suggested a role for a ramper.
Here's a short excerpt from a possible script.

LGA ramper I (Sean Penn} Hey dude...look at this guys bag.. Its completely soaked.
LGA ramper II (Clint Eastwood) Don't worry... It'll be dry by the end of the flight.
