Well, the date is set. April 19 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. We're having a fly-in at Lake Texoma Jet Center ( www.texomajet.com ) at KGYI (North Texas Regional Airport at Perrin Field, formerly Grayson County Airport), about 50 miles north of Dallas and just south of Lake Texoma on the Texas/Oklahoma border. We have a 9,000 foot runway with full ILS and acres of concrete ramp. Lots of room!
Patsy's is bringing the food for $10 a head--real country cooking! We'll have baked chicken, delicious moist meatloaf, all the fixin's, and top it off with Hummingbird cake and lemonade!
I'm inviting all the local flying clubs, flight schools, type clubs, aircraft sales guys, aviation related vendors, etc. We'll have a bunch of Lears on the ramp and maybe a Falcon or two. If I can work it out, I'll try to have an Lear engine on our test cell to shake the earth a bit.
Maybe we'll invite the Mustang car club. Or the Corvette club. Or ????
