Food for Thought: F meal IND-PHX

I think the photo speaks for itself, but this is a photo of a F class domestic meal from IND-PHX that was shared on another forum yesterday and I thought it was worthy for discussion here. My initial reaction was O-M-G and a sense of relief at having moved my business to Delta last year.

It's faux-grilled chicken, mashed potatoes, gravy, and salad, in an aluminum tray and styrofoam bowl. Reminds me of the old TV dinner trays from when I was a kid. This is the link to the photo: http://www.ffocus.org/members/forum/download/file.php?id=906&mode=view

Funny how you all left, but Still Bash US. The Employees are all aware how bad this stuff is and could show other areas that need massive attention. TEMPE DOES NOT CARE and I for one are tired of hearing how bad things are...... WE KNOW and cant do a damm thing about it.
 
I am not bashing, I am just presenting a current photo of a first class meal on a US Airways flight from IND-PHX for discussion.

I reduced the size of the photo and this forum will not accept it even at 28 kb.

If I were still a customer or an employee, I would report this and other issues and/or try to have some dialogue about what needs to be fixed or ask why it has come to this. But I guess that is just me.

For "compare and contrast" how about a photo of that DL meal you had last week?
On a shorter flight.

The photo does say cr@p, but it does not say anything about the quality at DL or any other airline. Althought you're probably correct, to bash US 'scientifically' a side-by-side comparison of the entire product is needed, not just the meal. For example comaprison of seats (comfort/ pitch), other perks (clubs?) and most importantly ticket price. Otherwise you're coming across as a spoiled whiner (like PB/SH).

I can not believe the FA served you this meal in that manner!! That is NOT the way the FA is to serve the product...when did this happen?

The US meal in question here was served the evening of March 17, 2010, on a flight from IND-PHX. If this is not standard procedure, it ought to be reported.

As to fare, seat pitch, and clubs, I have not paid over $300 RT for a ticket this year on DL and am 100% on upgrades as Gold Medallion. I am also a Sky Club member and the clubs are fine.

Seriously, if no one reports this, it can happen again if this isn't the norm.

And if I bought a full fare ticket, I'd be ticked to be served that!

In fairness to the F/C FA, this is what the original source of the picture had to say:

"The FA apologized, said the flight had no snacks (the Inbound passengers ate them all on the way in, I guess) and they did not load plates for the dinner service back to Phoenix. She was so sorry, I gave her an A&B and ripped mgmt on the comment portion."

Then I would come down hard on the FA that flew the aircraft into IND and catering. (They can go after the IND supplier if required.) The only excuse I can think of for the FA that worked the flight to IND is if the plane took excessive delays somewhere. There is no other valid excuse for using another flight's snacks or provisions.

Excuse me? Why in the **h e DOUBLE HOCKEY STICKS** am I responsible for everyone else's job? I have to run behind other departments to make sure they do everything right. Check the water/waste levels. Make sure the cleaners cleaned. We run out of water/lavs from PHL-SEA and divert, who gets the call? The F/A! Why didn't you check! Well excuse me I am not an octopus! I only have so many arms and have to prioritise. My safety functions come first because the agent blows up my butt to board, with and HHD to load and the Capt wants a coffee right in the middle of it all! So back off!
No one listens in PHX because they don't care. How come I can fly PHL to SAN with only 5 red wines in First. No LIQ kits provisioned in SAN so here I get the a/c for the lunch/dinner on the return with 1/2 a bottle of red and 1 white left for 16 people! They think that is enough for double provision? For years I have written it up. Put more on! Wait, you can't because you took out all the space! No, I can only work with the tools I am given. Period.
