Franken Already Running His Pie-Hole !

I can see where being a business person may have some benefit to being president but I can also see where being in the medical field (thee days) would help as well. How about being in the military, or a history major, hostage negotiator, lobbyist, or a host of other qualities needed to run the biggest 'corporation' in the world. While busines experience may be nice, I do not see it qualifying one to run the country.

Of course you wouldn't agree, by your logic you would be ok with Barney the Dino as long as it gave you that tingling feeling. LOL

I agree with you that business experience is helpful. I currently work for a corporation that was started from the grass roots and the guy who started it is still at the helm. While they talk a good talk, the experience as an employee is not much different than it was at AA. I would venture a guess that Mr Gates, Branson and the rest no longer have much of a clue about the working man. They may have a vague recollection of what it was like but it is more than likely only a glimmer.

As I said, I agree that business sense is a positive attribute, but it is by no means the end all be all. Given that Obama did not marry money and is not a multimillionaire (kiplinger pus his worth at about $1 million) I would say he has more of a grasp of the common man than the business men that you pointed out like Gates or Perot.

While people skills may be valued, they are quite lacking. Most of the managers I work with have poor at best skills. Despite this the company is doing very well so perhaps there is something else at work.
