I believe U will soon be at 1800, DAL will be at 1400, and AMR and NWAC are still in the process of furloughing. No doubt, UAL will soon be putting more on the street. That puts CAL pilots in a pretty good position, especially since the majority of CAL furloughees went to fly as Captain at CALEX. CAL got the furloughs done quickly and then stopped, which is absolutely the way any furlough should be handled.
Comments?

The 123 furloughs shown for ATA are not pilot furloughs, but rather a loss of PFE positions due to the elimination of the B-727 and drawdown of the L-1011. ATA is in fact actively interviewing and hiring pilots as it continues to acquire new equipment.
