Here's a thought.

NO ONE should pay a higher percentage of their income to support the functions of Government as defined by the COTUS than any other citizen.

If Warren Buffet is soooo concerned with "His Fair Share" then he should lobby Congress and the POTUS to have a tax systems that applies equally for all. If he pays LESS money to the Federal Gooberment he has more money available with which to do thing on his own. Like oh say create an endowment for the Warren Buffet School of Business at the University of Nebraska?

The Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation is a classic example of why Mr Gates shouldn't be taxed at a higher rate then the guy at McDonald's.

Do you think Carnegie-Mellon, Lehigh and a host of other schools were created by the Federal Government's confiscation of Andrew Carnegies and others wealth? NO, these wealthy men did what they did out of a sense of moral obligation to give back to the society that enriched them, all WITHOUT the Gooberment. Also take note that most of these men made and built their fortunes prior to the creation of the Federal Reserve.

Government does not create wealth. It confiscates it and redistributes it based on political considerations. This is also known as Crony Capitalism and will ultimately ruin the nation. If the Government sits upon a pile of money confiscated from those who produce and then redistributes this ill gotten loot as corporate welfare it should come as no surprise that we have situations like Solyndra, Ethanol Subsidies, etc etc. It should also come as no surprise that Pelosi, Beohner and most of the rest of Congress have enriched themselves at the Tax Payer expense.

The only sure fire effective way for the citizens to get the most "Bang for the Buck" is to prevent as many bucks as possible from getting into the hands of the Bureaucracy. If I have a 3.8 Trillion budget and I cut it to 2.2 Trillion. I have 1.6 Trillion fewer opportunities for Crony Capitalism to occur.

Government is almost never the answer, however it is most times the cause of our woes.

Class Warfare is only beneficial once you realize just which class you're in. IMO there are but two classes, Those that work and those that don't.

Prominent names of the Parasite Class include, Barack Obama, George Bush, Nancy Pelosi, Harry Reid, John Boehner, Newt Gingrich and throw in some University Professors and I think you get the idea.

The other class is you and me. Plus Bill Gates, Steve Jobs, Warren Buffet, Every Private sector union & non union member. Each member of this class whether it be the late Ray Kroc who founded McDonalds to the young black man taking your order today are people who add value to society and one could not exist without the other. What value does the Parasite class add??

We could and should however shrink the Parasite class down to a more manageable number. Ron Paul made an interesting comment when asked about how his downsizing of the Federal Government and the impact on laid off Federal Workers. Paraphrasing he said "Let them get a job at McDonalds and see how the rest of America works"

Here's a thought, why not repeal the 16th Amendment and force the shrinkage of the Federal Government back to role that is clearly defined by the COTUS. For me the argument isn't what type of income tax we should have but rather should we have any income tax at all at the Federal Level?

When you get the answer to that question let me know! What exactly is the wealthy "Fair Share"? One could argue that given the number of jobs Microsoft and Apple have created that based upon the value that Mr Jobs and Mr Gates added to the overall well being of the United States that the government should be PAYING HIM not taxing him.

Yeah that's one he doesn't have the answer for now is it??? Hey say what you will about Bill Gates at least he is giving away a substantial amount of his personal fortune through the Bill & Linda Gates Foundation. I'll also guarantee that more money gets to those who need with his foundation then would ever get distributed if the Government taxed him and had the bureaucrats dole it out.

I'll be apologizing to Mr Buffet on the exact same day as he publicly endorses the repeal of the 16th Amendment, along with the abolition of the Fed. He's not the solution, he's part of the problem. Besides he's so freaking handy with advice let him set up his own foundation.

When you have enough juice to give away 36 Billion it's rather easy to tell the guy making $36,000/year what to do and how to do it. I bet old Warren would look quite distinguished in his US Airways Fleet Service Uniform. Cone on down Warren and spend some time with people who create the real value in society. Then tell us how we're doing it wrong. Otherwise KMA.
