Well E I'll tell you this('these'),
First I was somewhat surprised at the outcome.
Second, while it still remains to be seen what 'this' will have on the 'General' outcome, nothing about it is positive.
I'm guessing (perhaps) that a lot of people foolishly didn't make the connection that this recall was VERY Important to the 'general'.

One thing I know as well as my own name is that.............1. with Slick Willy being on the tube a lot lately, and tonites result, equates to the unofficial DEFINITE START to the HILLARY-16' campaign ! ! ! (Whether B O wins or loses)

THAT you can BET the FARM on !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

10:1 spending advantage? Never mind the fact that the Progressives ran 3 campaigns against Walker in the last 15 months!

If you were talking about Illinois, I'd say money would make a difference since it easily buys votes. Not so much in Wisconsin.

Funny part about the three campaigns... the margins only widened in Walker's favor.

Bears, I strongly disagree that this isn't a positive.... my opinion is that the unions overplayed their hand in the court of public opinion.

If anyone was a fool, it was the ones behind the recall campaign. They may not have understood the backlash or the impact this would have on the November election.

I'd go further and say they were made up a year ago. There's been a lot of talk about just how elusive the undecided voter has been, and the efforts both sides have made to find them.

Maybe, but I think most people were more focused on the negative effects on what was happening in their own state. Besides, it's not like Obama has been spending a lot of time "Standing with Wisconsin."
 
Well Kids,

It looks like the times they are a changin' and if you happen to be employed by the government things are decidedly NOT going in your direction.

In fact the whole Progressive Agenda is under assault.
 
One note: The Wanggaard/Lehman race isn't over. Numbers show challenger Lehman ahead, but with many absentee ballots left to count.

A Lehman win would shift the senate majority to the Dems, but it's still too close to call, and Wanggaard isn't conceding.
 
I have a freind who lives in Milwaukee. We talked today without getting into the side-taking of the issues and both agreed that this election was a good thing in two ways.

1) It exposed the new Citizens United model of the election cycle (good and bad),

2) It also had the great effect of energizing the electorate to get off their collective (no pun intended for the union folks here) asses and go vote!

Heard on the radio a whole bunch of cuts from exit pollsters claiming all these people voted for Walker but said they'll support Obama in November......yeah, right.

Spoon full of medicene helps the medicne go down?

E, I think you may have misunderstood my meaning.
The recall outcome IS a positive for your side !

One strange thing I heard,...............a significant number of UNION folks voted for Walker.
I'm guessing those union folks were/are in NON public Unions.

I know walker stayed AWAY from the COPS, but does anyone know what his "plan' was or wasn't for the Firefighters ?

Point of order:

According to the Washignton Post, union members voted overwhelmingly for Barret (71%-29%). Of those that come from union households (ie not a member, but sharing a residence with someone who is), that margin for Barrett narrowed significantly, to 51-48%

He offered the same exemption(s) to them. They joined the uprising anyway. In fact Lt. Governor candidate Mahlon Mitchell is the president of their union...
